Open a New Business After 60? Why not?

Jim “Doc” Hellams is opening a new office in Pendleton SC this month! Jim is my brother-in-law and he and my sister are working diligently to get the new “cash only” family medical office open as soon as possible.

So what’s unusual about that, you ask? Jim is 80 years old. He retired after 50 years service to the community around Pendleton, and continued to care for clients at the Anderson County Detention Center. But, he still missed his lifelong patients. Some of those families represent three generations of patients. “Doc” genuinely cares about each one of his patients – they are not only patients, but friends and almost like family. So “Doc” is going back to work. I know Pendleton will be delighted to see that “open” sign on the new office. We wish Jim and Nancy much success in this new endeavor! Congratulations to both of you!

And by the way, how are you spending your senior years?

I would enjoy featuring your over-60 adventures/businesses on this page. Click on the contact me tab at the top of the page and leave me a note.
