Merry Christmas! I hope you are enjoying and relishing the holiday season. Here are 3 ways to enjoy Christmas holidays in 30 minutes. 30 minutes is all it takes to add a little joy. You can enjoy your Christmas holidays more with these little 30 minute exercises. Merry Christmas!
Set aside 30 minutes for yourself this year. You will be glad you did.
1. Take 30 minutes to sit in front of your Christmas tree or fireplace. Don’t read. Don’t think. Don’t plan the next week or the next year. Just be in the moment. Relax. Treasure the time. Treasure the season. Sit quietly. When our grandson was in kindergarten, they had a daily “time to be.” It took us a while to understand what he was saying. But once that became clear, the entire family learned an important lesson. Take time to be. Just simply BE. What an amazing life lesson to teach ourselves. Time to Be. Enjoy Christmas holidays by being quiet for 30 minutes.
2. Take 30 minutes to call an old friend you have not talked to in a long time. Share 30 minutes of your holiday with someone who means something to you — and say so! Find that old list of classmates from your high school reunion and call a few of those folks. Treasure the memories of friendships and memories past. Enjoy Christmas holidays with a telephone reunion.
3. Take 30 minutes to spend with a child. Christmas through the eyes of children is always a delight! Shake off all your adulthood and enjoy being a child for 30 minutes — how long has it been since you built a castle of blocks or flew a paper airplane? Invite a neighbor’s child or a relative to the Christmas parade. Give a busy mom a break. Take a child to the local library for special Christmas programs. Take 30 minutes one evening at dusk to drive through a neighborhood filled with lights and decorations – take a car full of kids and lots of popcorn and juice.
Enjoy! Treasure the day! Enjoy the moments! And have the merriest Christmas ever!
