Invest in a pill organizer: Pill organizers are a must-have if you take several different medications every day. They usually have seven or more compartments to help you organize your medicines for each day of the week. When you get your medications, transfer the pills to the organizer. When you look at the organizer you will easily be able to tell whether or not you remembered to take your pills for that day. Remember that if you have small children in your home, pill organizers are not childproof. You will need to take extra precautions to make sure your medications are out of reach.
And as I visited with his grandmother, and she shared with me all of the cards and notes they have received, I was again reminded of the importance of those sympathy cards. I well remember the comfort we found in sympathy cards when our brother died suddenly. We would sit in dad’s living room and read them aloud to each other. Each one brought comfort. And it is such a simple thing to do — send a little card. I have to admit I am not as good about that as my sister, Betty. But today I am determined to do better. I do know how much it matters!
Zeus, my dog, is different.
